Black Clover Season 2 Episode 4 Teases Nacht and Yami Flashback Amid Devil Fight
Black Clover Season 2 is progressing through the Fall 2026 anime season, with fresh preview images for Episode 4 hinting at a significant flashback featuring Nacht and Yami. The episode, titled "The Day of Atonement," arrives in Japan on October 24th and will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll for North American and international audiences.
Picking up right after the first season's cliffhanger from five years ago, the sequel season has thrown Asta and the others into rematches against the Spade Kingdom's Dark Triad. Among the ongoing battles, Dante's clash with Nacht and Jack the Ripper escalated when the underworld opened prematurely, releasing two powerful twin devils.
According to the synopsis on the anime's official website, the upcoming episode centers on Nacht's struggle against two of the highest-ranking demons, Nahamah, who wields demonic fire magic, and Lilith, who commands demonic ice magic. Their overwhelming power forces Nacht into a defensive position, buying time while he recalls a pivotal moment from his past linked to his connection with Yami and his twin brother Morgen.
As Nacht fights for his life, the flashback appears to explain the reason he continues to push beyond his limits. The synopsis teases that in a desperate bid to defeat the twins, Nacht makes a bold gamble by "united" with the two demons, risking everything in an attempt to defeat the twins.
While Black Clover Season 2 has not announced its total episode count, it is expected to be shorter than the first season's 170-episode run. The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, now including an English dub option.
